Game Description

The Village theme challenges student built robots to assist in building homes for a new village, while helping to set up critical infrastructure. These medium difficulty tasks are a great second level competition for STEM students learning VEX GO.

VEX GO Competition

VEX GO Competition is played on a 3’ x 6’ field. Teams compete in the Robot Skills Competition where one robot takes the field to score as many points as possible. These matches consist of Solo Driving Skills Matches, Cooperative Driving for two teams, and Coding Skills Matches, which will be autonomous with limited human interaction.

Details

The object of the game is to score as many points as possible by completing each task. A single team will complete as many tasks as possible in 2 minutes during the Solo Driver Skills run. Two teams will work together to complete as many tasks as possible in 1 minute during the Teamwork Drivers Skills run. A single team will complete as many tasks as possible in 1 minute during the Coding Skills match.

Lower the bridge so the robot can cross the river
Collect home parts from the waiting trucks
Bring the parts to the human assistants for assembly
Move completed houses to the village
Help lift the water tower into place
Turn the water service on
Setup the wind generator so the village has power
Move the crops to the machine for processing
