Game Description

The Mars theme was co-developed with NASA. This field is the perfect starting point for students new to robotics and competitions. All the tasks are designed to be achievable with basic robots while leaving much room for improvement in robot capabilities and performance. The space theme provides relevant topics for discussion and exploration by the whole classroom.

VEX GO Competition

VEX GO Competition is played on a 3’ x 6’ field. Teams compete in the Robot Skills Competition where one robot takes the field to score as many points as possible. These matches consist of Solo Driving Skills Matches, Cooperative Driving for two teams, and Coding Skills Matches, which will be autonomous with limited human interaction.

Details

The object of the game is to score as many points as possible by completing each task. A single team will complete as many tasks as possible in 2 minutes during the Solo Driver Skills run. Two teams will work together to complete as many tasks as possible in 1 minute during the Teamwork Drivers Skills run. A single team will complete as many tasks as possible in 1 minute during the Coding Skills match.
