Terry Marbut was instrumental in bringing VEX Robotics to Alabama. He continued to grow the program each year. He was responsible for the first competition in Alabama and was the Event Partner for the first Alabama State Championship in 2014.
Terry sponsored the Jacksonville State University robotics team and drove a 15-passenger van full of college students to Kentucky, so they would have the opportunity to volunteer at the VEX Robotics World Championship each year. Terry was later hired by the REC Foundation and continued to share his love of STEM by leading the teacher training program and being the RSM for Alabama and Georgia.
