The Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation seeks to increase student interest and involvement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by engaging students in hands-on, sustainable, and affordable curriculum-based robotics engineering programs.

We are excited to work with more than 100 universities, colleges, and organizations who offer scholarship opportunities to students who compete in our programs. The REC Foundation encourages every student to continue their education and pursue careers in STEM related fields.

Florida Polytechnic University offers 10 non-renewable academic merit scholarships to full time technology and engineering students with a strong passion for Robotics and STEM. Students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA. Participation in Robotics Clubs and competitions during high school preferred, but not required.
The FOSSI scholarship can be used for tuition and university-provided room and board. A student may accept additional scholarships but they cannot exceed the total cost of their education. Children of employees of founding partners and sponsoring organizations may apply for the FOSSI scholarship, excluding children of executive-level employees.  Applicants must:

Harvey Mudd College offers one scholarship for $10,000 renewable up to 4 years. Students may pursue any course of study. Candidates must have competed on a VRC team. Additional requirements include senior class status and a brief essay. Submit essay to POsgood@hmc.edu
The Heinlein Society is offering three non-renewable $3,000 scholarships to full time students studying STEM or Science Fiction as Literature. Applicants must be an undergraduate student enrolled for the 2021-22 academic year in an accredited college that awards Bachelor of Science or Arts degrees. Open to applicants from any country.
The University of Memphis Herff College of Engineering offers a robust scholarship program available to first-time freshmen.
This scholarship can award you up to $2,500 to pursue a career certification or technical education, of your choice, at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States.

The Intertech Foundation focuses on young people’s inspiration and the building of their science, engineering, and technology skills. If you have excelled in Math and Science and will be graduating from high school this spring, and plan to pursue college studies in computer science consider applying.
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s scholarships provide financial assistance and academic support to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students. In addition to the monetary award, students join a network of nearly 3,200 Cooke Scholars.
