Inspiration All Stars

Students participating in VEX Competitions encounter “Inspiration All-Stars” each and every day. Some are teachers and mentors who work with individual teams to make a robotics program work. Others are volunteers who help make events happen. They all are devoted individuals who put in many hours of hard work with persistence and passion. Whether these individuals help students achieve goals that may have seemed out of reach or provided opportunities for students to expand their knowledge and solve problems in the worlds of STEM, these all-stars show true leadership and dedication to the VEX Competition experience.

Degree in Computer Science, Columbia University; Founder of iLuminate, a wearable dance system which enables the programmer to switch lights off and on with music; Began career as a software developer with a passion for coding, while pursuing dream to dance professionally.
I wrote software since I was 9, and danced since I could walk, but always separated them. I worked in technology, with a dream I'd quit and dance professionally. Then, I was diagnosed with cancer, and I couldn't dance after surgery; so, I got better at writing software. Once I recovered, I left my job and started dancing again--now bringing dance and technology together.
