What Volunteer Roles are Available?

How Long is a Volunteer Shift?

An average shift is 4-6 hours, and you can sign up for one shift or multiple shifts. We are always looking for people who can volunteer over multiple days if it suits your schedule.

Who Can Volunteer?

Make volunteering a family affair! Younger students who can pay attention to directions make great Field Resetters, and we can pair you up in the same area to volunteer together in most cases.

How Do I Register to Volunteer?

This year we are offering an entirely new scheduling platform called Shiftboard, featuring self-scheduling online, making it easy for you to select and view your shifts from any computer or mobile device. To apply, please fill out the online VEX World Championship Volunteers Registration Form today!

How Do I Sign Up for Volunteer Shifts?

Please note that shifts are currently not available for scheduling. You must first register using the online system and then we will send you an email notification when shifts are ready to view as the event gets closer.

I Have Registered in the New Shiftboard System — How Do I Log In?

Once you have registered, you will get a confirmation email with your username and temporary password. Bookmark the Sign-On page for VEX World Championship Volunteers to log in to your new Shiftboard account.

When are Different Teams Competing?

The VEX Robotics Competition and VEX U (middle/high school and university teams) portion of the event will be held April 19-22; and the VEX IQ Challenge (elementary/middle school teams) portion will be held April 23-25, 2017.
