January 8, 2015 – For many VEX Robotics teams the recent winter break was a busy one to say the least.

Students at Abraham Lincoln High School in Iowa continued to perfect their robot’s design and functionality over the break as noted in a report from KETV.

Meanwhile, students at Walsh Middle School in Massachusetts used their break to qualify for the upcoming Southern New England Regional VEX Robotics Competition as noted in the MetroWest Daily News.

The Dream it. Do it. Southern Minnesota VEX Robotics Tournament, which was held at Riverland Community College, had a fantastic event with Mysterious George, a team from Austin, Texas, taking home the Judges’ Award for their efforts the Austin Daily News reported.

The Saratogian News noted the “real-world” application of the experience as 100 students gathered in upstate New York in early December to test their skills and open their minds to new ways of thinking.

Finally, 808 Robotics shared photos from the Hawaiian Electric Companies Middle School VEX Championship, which was held in December at Stevenson Middle School in Honolulu.
